About Us

MAMA is the only airport-specific organization in Maine and the only state wide networking available for all of Maine's airport's.

MAMA provides up-to-date information to its members about key issues affecting Maine's airports through this website, presentations, and regular meetings.

MAMA provides industry input into decisions affecting aviation and airports through communications with local, state and federal leaders. Through its large membership base, MAMA has relationships with legislators in the state, as well as Maine's congressional delegation.

Every airport in the state of Maine, regardless of size, provides that community’s access to the global economy. MAMA airports must continue to be developed, improved, and expanded to meet the needs of tomorrow’s business environment. The Maine DOT works at the pleasure of the Governor and does not advocate on behalf of Maine airports. This organization is focused on the collective representation of all the state's airports and works closely with individual legislators who are responsible for those public use airports in their areas to advocate on their behalf to enact supportive aviation legislation.
